The X-Over Beanie/Bun Pattern

Happy Saturday All! As promised I’m here today with a new Beanie pattern! I came up with this pattern on my own. Very rare but it happens every now and then! My Mom actually showed me the stitch. She made a pretty scarf with it and I thought Hmmmm…we need a beanie to go with it. We have NO idea what the stitch is called so I made up the name. (X-Over)

So last year our Facebook Group we did a 6 week Hat Challenge. Every week we did a different hat that wasn’t already shared in the Group! Now that was hard to do as there are many Free patterns that we share! This was the Beanie we did the last week!

I’m calling this the X-Over Beanie because you are actually crossing over stitches to get this look. I’ll be doing a video on this one for those that are visual. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask me!

Happy 2019 & 25K Subsriber Giveaway

Quick Review and more….

Hey all Wow June 1st already! School is almost out here (June 7th, 2018) and my son will be promoting to 9th grade! Yikes!!!  How time flies! Seems like yesterday he was starting Kindergarten!

Anyway, just a quick update on the Faye Doll CAL – The video is almost done for those that are visual OR that just like to follow along. My Mom had cataract surgery and was planning my Daughters Baby Shower. Not busy at all! I’ll for sure share her gifts I made in another post. Can’t wait to meet my Granddaughter “Alana” coming July 2nd!!  But the videos are just about done and I’m editing them now.

So I was asked to do a review by a Company called “KnitCrate” –  It’s a monthly subscription based program featuring their in-house premium yarn brands PLUS 2 exclusive patterns (1 knitting, 1 crochet).  I added the photo of the May kit which I believe you can still get! I was NOT disappointed!

The yarn is absolutely gorgeous! You get 2 skeins.  I don’t  knit but I do crochet! Can’t wait to make something with this yarn.  The pictures don’t do this justice at all!

FREE Mermaid Crochet A Long

Today is the day!  Sorry to have been MIA for a while I’ve been up to my neck in Video and Mermaid Making….Wow I’m super nervous and excited at the same time!  So let me give you some Details on how it’s going to work.

This is a FREE Mermaid Crochet A Long and the pattern will be released all at once today on my Blog and I’ll also post in Ravelry later today or early Friday. You’ll see all the Social Media Tabs either above this post or in the upper right hand corner.

For those that are Visual YES I made Videos too! Those will be released 1 day at a time. I’m still editing the last 2 videos. (some difficulties) I didn’t leave anyone out and I have a Left-handed version too!  Videos will be linked below.

Hats…Hats and more Hats

Hey All! Just a real quick post to share what I’ve been up to!  It’s been crazy in this house with all the goodies I’ve been making!  Here are a few Hats that I’ve been making for the shop at the Outlet Mall in San Clemente – Gift Boutique & Home Decor!  We are getting ready for the Holiday’s and let me tell you if you haven’t been and you are in the area you’ve got to check it out!  So many Unique Gifts!  I’ll be working this Sunday and will take some pics of the new items and share here. These are just a few of the “Messy Bun” Beanies that I’ve got in there. There are more colors this one is “Cupcake”!   I’ll share some more styles with you a little later.

Teddy Bears in the house

Seriously, How adorable are these Teddy Bears???!!! After making the 1st one I had enough yarn over to make the 2nd one! Not bad for 1 ball of Caron Sprinkle Cake! Which is a brand new line of yarn. Love this in Birthday Cake color and it’s self striping so you don’t know what color will be next. So in LOVE with how they came out.  I’ll for sure be adding these to my Etsy shop also! Thanks again to Sarah from Repeat Crafter Me for a GREAT Project!

If you are in the San Clemente area I’ll be adding them there too!  Of course went into work at Michaels last night and picked up some more. I got a new color too! I’ll show you that one a little later! Now to get ready for my Sons Baseball Tournament in San Clemente this weekend! I’m for sure packing my yarn! Just sharing a little something

So just a little Sneak Peek of what I was working on yesterday…..I’ll share more later promise! Of course if you follow my Facebook page then you’ve already seen them! LOL!   I saw this pattern from another “Crocheter” Blogger that I’ve been following since forever. I want to say it started with her cute Owl Hat Pattern. Sarah Zimmerman at Repeat Crafter Me shared this super adorable Bear and I just had to make one.  If you are a fellow crochet check out her Blog for the pattern. It’s I Love YARN Day and here’s what I’ve been Hookin’

Happy I LOVE Yarn Day to all the “Knitta’s & Crocheters” out there – Or do I dare say “Hooka’s”??!!!  LOL!  So this was in the making – I absolutely LOVE making Crocheted Loveys! They are just so fast and quick to make up and just ADORABLE!  This is my latest! Stay tuned for more to come!

Knight and Princess So I posted on Facebook yesterday about the Princess waiting for her night! The photo was super cute as he wasn’t done yet!  Well I finished him last night!

I LOVE how he turned out! He’ll also be available in my Etsy shop very soon along with more options.  I’m having a blast making these up. Need more Princesses, Knights….hmmm how about a Prince? A little competition huh? LOL!

Corner to Corner Graphgan?

Hey Crafters!  I know it’s been a while BUT wait til you see what I’ve been up to!!!

2015-08-23 12.56.49I wanted to share my latest WIP (work in progress) which I got started.  It’s called a Corner to Corner or C2C Aghan in this case it’s a Graphgan – what does this mean?  Well its going to be a Crocheted blanket starting in 1 corner and working your way up!  Graphgan – meaning it’s going to have a type of photo in it.  NOW I have to say I have done something like this before way back in the day but it was done a little differently.  I’ve been seeing so many AWESOME Blankets with this and I’m finally attempting my own! Here’s the progress! Any guesses as to what it’s going to be?  I’ll be posting more items so stay tuned! One in just a little bit!

***Now if you are a crocheter and are reading this I have a few Quick Questions – For those making Bobble-Ghans or C2C Graphgans which do you like better or which goes faster for you? AND which has less string mess.
