Where has this month gone?

Sponge Bob Mini Rag Quilt

Ok, so I need to get on board with Blogging A LOT more! I mean between school, work, sports and the flu???  UGH! I’m just barely feeling a little better!

Geez I truly had not meant to be MIA for this long!  BUT I do have LOTS to share and I’ll be sharing a little bit every day!

1st up is this SUPER cute “Mini” Rag Tag Quilt blanket and a Crinkle toy that I made with Sponge Bob Fabric!  Love how bright the fabric is!   I just need to wash it a few times to start the ragging process.   I had this fabric left over from making my daughter a Rag Quilt Purse.  I’ve got some more goodies up my sleeve!

Until my next share thanks for stopping, have questions please ask and as always….

Reversible Pet Bandanas

Pet BandanaPet Bandana 1Hey Crafters,
So here’s another quick and super easy project!

I’m getting ready to send this to my Daughter for her Dog and Cat. Had to use my 4 legged baby for a Model but looks like I’ll have to make her one too!  I think this turned out really cute and I LOVE the fact that it’s reversible.

My Model was actually being very patient. She really wanted her treat.
Below is another picture of the small one and the big one. I sure hope the small one fits the Cat. If not she can put it towards her back like a cape! LOL! I’m sure she will.

2016-03-05 14.02.28Their are endless fabric combinations for these! Easter, Fourth of July, Halloween, etc.. Oh yes MANY possibilities for sure!  I’m sure I’ll be adding a few of these to my Etsy shop also.

As always thanks for stopping by and if you have any questions please leave a comment!  I’ve got some more things to share and a really cute crochet project I’m working on too!

March already???

Boy where does the time go?  I tell you finally things are slowing down for me! My son had something going on just about everyday of the week except for Fridays!  Between school basketball and recreational basketball AND Baseball???  Yikes…..Calgon take me away!

So I wanted to share a few items I’ve been working on! Hey it’s not Crochet this time!  I’m not much of a sewer BUT I’ve made a few easy Baby Quilts – Well I pulled out my machine again and dusted it off!  After I saw some super cute curtains my cousin made.  Here are the items I made…..SUPER FUN!

Sugar Skulls Market Tote
A Farmers Market or Grocery Tote bag! I am SUPER in LOVE with these bags! This is my 3rd bag I’ve made! Love the fabric. My daughter already marked it as hers!

Found the YouTube Video on this and just new I had to make it! PLUS  there are so many other EASY items to make!  For a beginner like me – that’s important! LOL!

Cosmetic Bag Skulls

But one of my very 1st projects was this REALLY Easy Cosmetic Bag from So Sew Easy – the name says it all!

This is actually my 2nd Cosmetic Bag I made! I’m really liking how they turn out! Another YouTube video. You can find the pattern HERE and the video too!

Well I’ve got more items that are in the making both crochet & sewing related that I’ll share a little later! I’m sure these will be popping up in my Etsy store very soon since I kinda bought some more Yummy Fabric!  Questions? Please don’t hesitate to ask!

Welcome to my new blog!

First I just want to THANK you for visiting me here at YvonneMetz.com! I’ve moved my blogging platforms so I’m starting all over with a Fresh new site!

So where to begin? I’m creating this blog to share my love of crafting! Most of you know I’ve been crocheting for a very long time and for the last 12 yrs I’ve been a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. You can see that Blog HERE! I have also gotten into “some” sewing/quilting. Plus I’m always up for some good healthy recipes. I’ll for sure share any yummy recipes that I find.

Anyway, I’ll be sharing projects I’m working on or have finished plus share where I found the patterns. I haven’t written a crochet pattern as of yet – BUT I do have one to share which will be coming soon! So come by often to check for that!
If you have any questions at all what so ever please don’t hesitate to either post a comment here or email: yvonne@yvonnemetz.com
