What I’m working on..

Hi Crafters!!! I know long time no post! Well it’s been crazy busy over in the Metz household! With baseball in full swing “no pun” intended, I’m driving my son here and there and everywhere! Thank goodness Basketball is over!!! But it’s all good, getting into a routine now!

Well I wanted to share this quick pic of what I’m working on. All kinds of yarn I wonder what it’s going to be? Any guesses? Leave me a comment!

I have also been busy with opening an eBay Store! Most know I’ve been a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator since 2003 and well you can say I’ve accumulated lots of Goodies! WELL I’m finally going through it all and selling it! You can check it out HERE so far I’ve got Stampin’ Up! stamp sets & Scrapbook/Card-making paper but I’m adding more everyday! I know I’ll be adding oh I don’t know “YARN”!! Got TONS of it!

Well off to go and check on my son and make sure he’s doing his homework!

Easter is around the corner

Well it’s April 1st – Where did the last 3 months go???? Yikes! Well I have to say this morning I totally April Fooled my son! He was all ready for school and we were just about to leave and I said “Hey, I just got a text and No School today!” Oh you should of seen his face light up! Oh it was priceless! Especially when I told him “April Fools!” LOL! Oh man it was good!

Anyway, I’ve had this Bunny put aside for a little bit and finally pulled her out to finish her! I’m on a Crochet Group on Facebook and there’s a lady there and she just has the most adorable dolls EVER! I’ll have to share one of her Dolls here but will ask permission first!

Anyway it totally got me inspired to finish my Bunny. So glad I did….they will be listed in my Etsy Shop soon just need to take a proper Photo Shoot! I just LOVE her cuteness. If you look close you’ll notice in her rollers those are Tootsie Rolls! Doesn’t she just make you smile?

Spring has begun….

Hello Crafters!

Can’t believe Spring is here! Sorry to have been MIA it was a super crazy busy end of 2014 and didn’t stop at the beginning of 2015!

I wanted to share a few things I’ve been working on. This time of year is when Baseball starts in my house so let’s just say “It’s all about that BASE” for sure!

I had an order for a Baseball Hat and soon I’ll have some in my Etsy shop! Will post more little peaks on what I’m working on a little later too!

Love how this turned out! Below is a close up of the flower on the hat! Isn’t the button just way to cute!

Baby Ella the Elephant Crocheted Lovey

Good Morning All! Before my day gets away from me I just had to share the new color scheme for Baby Ella the Elephant. This is one of most popular crocheted loveys that I sell the most of in my Etsy shop. I usually make the Pink, Grey and White color scheme. Well I changed it up and did her in Yellow, Grey and White for a baby shower gift!

I just love how these 3 colors together don’t you? I’ll be back a little later with some new things that I’ve been working on. Just need to take photos of them.

Hats and Headbands

I wanted to share some hats & beanies that I donated in August. So what does 29 Headbands & 34 Beanies look like? Started these on Friday July 25th and they were ALL finished by Monday August 4th! My Mom helped with some of the hats and so did my Daughter & Son-in-law! Yep he loomed a hat!

They went to an Orphanage in Zambia – You can read about the Mission HERE! Loved making them! I have to see if I can get pics with the kids wearing them! I would LOVE to see that!

I hope to be making some more hats for an Orphanage in Mexico that they go to more frequently. I barely made a dent in the yarn that I have.

Crocheted Baby Monkey Lovey pattern links

Hi again! Well here we go…let me just say that the blanket itself is a Granny Square! I made my square about 15 x15 which includes the border.

Ok, next I am sharing a link for the Elephant and the a link for the Banana. I can’t post those directions for the banana since it’s from a magazine.

So now for my directions for the monkey’s facial features: I’ve never written a pattern so I’m going to do the best I can. They are pretty basic and easy I hope! Now you know we all have a different tension and I tend to crochet tight.

I used a size G Crochet Hook for all the features of the Monkey including ears and arms.

For the Head I used a size F hook. This combo worked for me. You’ll just have to play around and see what works for you after you make the Head.

Whole lot of Monkey Business

Hello all! Well I wanted to re-share this post from last month which was on the old blogging platform I was using.

I had an order for 4 of my Baby Loveys that I sell in my Etsy Shop. The most popular one is the Crocheted Baby Ella the Elephant Lovey, next is this Monkey. Well I absolutely LOVED how these babies came out and totally missed them when I had to ship them out! I just love how the faces came out!

Gotta Love the Banana in the hand too! I was asked if I had a pattern and gave out most of the links but I made the facial features myself and will post later tonight or early tomorrow.

I’ll post all the links for everything.

Welcome to my new blog!

First I just want to THANK you for visiting me here at YvonneMetz.com! I’ve moved my blogging platforms so I’m starting all over with a Fresh new site!

So where to begin? I’m creating this blog to share my love of crafting! Most of you know I’ve been crocheting for a very long time and for the last 12 yrs I’ve been a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. You can see that Blog HERE! I have also gotten into “some” sewing/quilting. Plus I’m always up for some good healthy recipes. I’ll for sure share any yummy recipes that I find.

Anyway, I’ll be sharing projects I’m working on or have finished plus share where I found the patterns. I haven’t written a crochet pattern as of yet – BUT I do have one to share which will be coming soon! So come by often to check for that!
